Our Coaches
Eric loves the sport of swimming and the process of helping others reach their goals. In addition to owning and operating Indy Swim Studio, Eric is the head coach of the Zionsville Swim Club. With 18 years of coaching experience, he is prepared to help all swimmers reach their personal goals. Eric holds American Swimming Coaches Association Level 4 certification. His educational background includes an undergraduate degree from Purdue and a Masters degree from Ball State.
Eric grew up in Perry Township on the southside of Indianapolis. His wife Jessica grew up in Lafayette. Jessica is a Purdue graduate and realtor at the FC Tucker Company in Zionsville. Their 5 year old daughter, Emily, and 2 year old Harper are huge Indianapolis Colts fans!
James R Sharp

Coaching summer league, age group, and high school has earned Coach Sharp more than 30 years of coaching experience. His own swimming career began as a youngster in 1958 with the Lafayette Swim Club. Coach Sharp later went on to compete for Lafayette Jefferson High School and Purdue University. In 1976, he graduated from Purdue after serving 4 years in the Navy. Through his years of coaching, Coach Sharp has developed many nationally ranked age group and high school swimmers. Coach Sharp is a member of the Indiana High School Swimming and Diving Hall of Fame. He also has received many coaching related awards including an award for Excellence in Coaching from the American Swim Coaches Association, Coach of the Year for Indiana Swimming, as well as numerous Coach of the Year awards for high school swimming.
Coach Sharp also owns and operates Lafayette Swim America, serving the learn to swim needs of the greater Lafayette community.
